“YOGA” is an art performance that explores how modern women unconsciously shape and modify their bodies. By merging the highly decorative and meticulously designed aesthetic of Lolita fashion with the practice of yoga—an exercise that emphasizes inner balance and physical control—the project delivers a sharp critique of how women define themselves under social pressure.

Lolita fashion, with its elaborate details, vintage-inspired silhouettes, and carefully crafted contours, represents an external standard of beauty. Yoga, on the other hand, is traditionally a practice of harmony between mind and body. However, in this performance, the participants—a group of women dressed in Lolita attire—contort and constrain their bodies while executing various yoga poses. This juxtaposition challenges the supposed harmony between these two elements, instead revealing an underlying conflict and self-imposed restraint.
